A Place to Slow Down

Malanda Falls Retreat was created as a place to slow down, reconnect with nature, and experience the beauty of the Atherton Tablelands at a gentler pace.

Located directly opposite the iconic Malanda Falls, the retreat offers a peaceful two-bedroom stay surrounded by rainforest, gardens and fresh mountain air.

Hosts Vince and Helene designed the retreat to provide a warm, welcoming space where guests can relax, explore the Tablelands, and feel completely at home.

A Retreat Designed for Comfort

The retreat is a newly built two-bedroom space designed to feel private, spacious, and easy to settle into.

Inside, the interiors are light and relaxed, with quality furnishings, comfortable beds, and a fully self-contained kitchen and living area. Large windows and outdoor spaces connect the retreat with the surrounding gardens and rainforest landscape.

Small touches make the experience feel personal — from the seasonal welcome basket of fruit, vegetables and free-range eggs from the property to the peaceful outdoor spaces where guests can sit, relax, and take in the sounds of nature.

With only one retreat on the property, every stay is quiet, private, and thoughtfully prepared.

Our Beautiful Location

Malanda Falls Retreat sits directly opposite the iconic Malanda Falls, one of the Atherton Tablelands’ most loved natural attractions.

From the retreat, guests are perfectly positioned to explore the region’s waterfalls, volcanic crater lakes, rainforest walks, and charming country towns.

Lake Eacham, Lake Barrine, and the famous Curtain Fig Tree are all within easy reach, while Malanda township offers local cafés, boutique shops, and a relaxed village atmosphere just minutes away.

Whether you spend your days exploring the Tablelands or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings of the retreat, the beauty of this region is always close by.

A Personal Welcome

Vince and Helene moved to the Tablelands in 2017 and quickly fell in love with the lifestyle, nature and welcoming community of the region.

Helene is a passionate cook who enjoys preparing homemade food including fresh pasta, ravioli and traditional family recipes. Vince enjoys gardening, fishing and spending time outdoors caring for the property.

Together they enjoy meeting guests from all over the world and sharing their peaceful corner of the Atherton Tablelands.

Their goal is simple — to ensure every guest feels welcomed, comfortable and able to fully enjoy their stay.
